Matsi Modise – Founder & MD
Matsi is an avid entrepreneur, seasoned chairperson of listed and unlisted companies and is the founder of Furaha, a company that focuses on investments, technology, innovation and climate finance. Matsi is the World Climate Foundation Africa Lead, a Danish based organization where she helped establish the Africa Leading initiative within the foundation.
Her focus is bridging the gap between the global north and the global south in the climate innovation, sustainability and the climate investment sphere and ensuring that Africa has a voice and a seat at the table. Matsi is also a Senior Advisor at Connected Capital, a London based Corporate Finance and Alternative Investment firm, and in South Africa, she has chaired multiple organisations including the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), Boutique Collective Investments and is a trustee of the SAB Foundation.
Palesa Ramolefo – Senior Project Lead
Palesa Ramolefo is the Senior Project and Operations Lead at Furaha Afrika Holdings. She is a dynamic social impact leader and advocate with experience spanning civic engagement, digital mobilisation, and inclusive development. Her work is centred on advancing impactful initiatives that bridge social justice, economic inclusion, and long-term sustainability in Africa. With a strong commitment to equity and grassroots empowerment, Palesa brings a perspective grounded in community-led change, while engaging with broader continental and global conversations on development and sustainability.
